End of Year SMARTR Outcome

Language Arts

By June 2018, 75% of students will demonstrate grade-level proficiency as measured by the grades 3-5 Reading SOL.

By June 2018, 100% of those students falling below the 40th percentile as measured by the iReady universal screener, will make more than one year’s worth of growth as measured by the DRA.  Additionally, those students at or above the 40th percentile will make a minimum of one year’s worth of growth, as measured by the DRA.  

By the spring of 2018, the aforementioned subgroup gaps will decrease by 15% as measured by the SOL.

  • Black:74.5%  (4.5 gap point decrease)
  • Hispanic: 60%  (6 gap point decrease)
  • Asian: 87%  (2.9 gap point decrease)

Strategy 1

  • Teachers will plan and implement highly effective Tier 1 instruction, within the workshop model.

  • Teachers will provide targeted small group instruction and intervention through a variety of models.

Mathematics

By June 2018, 70% of students will meet the grade level benchmark, as measured by the SOL.

By June 2018, the gaps within each subgroup will decrease by 15%, as documented by SOL data.

Science

By the end of the 2017-2018 school year, students will increase the previous year's pass rate to reach 70%, as measured by the Science SOL.
